Ukraine set a record in the export of dairy products
Ukraine has an absolute record for exporting dairy products to Europe.
Taras Vysotskyi, the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, said this on the air of the national marathon “Edyny Novyny”, reports Minagro.
According to Taras Vysotskyi, Ukraine exports not only raw materials, but also processed products. Exports of livestock products to the EU increased, including poultry meat and eggs. Ukraine has an absolute record for selling dairy products to Europe. There is also an increase in the export of bioethanol to the EU.
During the war, the agricultural sector became the basis of Ukrainian exports and, accordingly, the guarantor of foreign exchange earnings from trade. Four of the top 5 positions of goods that Ukraine sold last year were occupied by food and agricultural products. The agrarian part made up 53% of all exports. The total cost of production is more than $23 billion.
The official noted that for 2023, the same foreign currency receipts as in 2022 are expected.
