Harvest-2023: corn harvesting is still in progress, 14% of the area remains
📌As of the end of December, 86% of the corn area in Ukraine has been harvested, 14% of the grain still remains in the fields. This is the only crop whose harvest is still ongoing.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
✅In total, threshing of the new crop is 79 million 200 thousand tons. Grain crops — 58 million 392 thousand tons, oil crops — 20 million 764 thousand tons.
Harvesting of grain and leguminous crops was carried out on an area of 10,542 thousand hectares with a yield of 5.54 t/ha, including:
🌾 3,606.3 thousand hectares of corn were threshed with a yield of 7.81 t/ha, 28 million 148 thousand tons were threshed;
🌾 4,694.5 thousand hectares of wheat were threshed, with a yield of 4.79 t/ha, 22 million 478 thousand tons were threshed;
🌾 1,504.5 thousand ha of barley were threshed with a yield of 3.93 t/ha, 5 million 909 thousand tons were threshed;
🌿 peas were threshed on 154,400 ha with a yield of 2.59 t/ha, 399,500 tons were threshed;
🌿 140 thousand ha of buckwheat were threshed with a yield of 1.48 t/ha, 207.5 thousand tons were threshed;
🌿 79.5 thousand ha of millet were threshed with a yield of 2.27 t/ha, 180.2 thousand tons were threshed;
🌿 362.6 thousand hectares of other grain and leguminous crops were threshed, 1,070 thousand tons were threshed.
Harvesting of oil crops was carried out on an area of 8,224 thousand hectares, in particular:
🌻 sunflower was threshed on an area of 5,020.8 thousand hectares, 11 million 980 thousand tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.39 tons/ha;
🌿 soybeans were threshed on an area of 1,805.6 thousand hectares, 4 million 779 thousand tons were threshed with a yield of 2.65 tons/ha.
🌿 Rape was threshed on an area of 1,396,000 hectares, 4,500,000 tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 2.87 tons/ha. Collection has been completed in all regions.
🌱Sugar beets were harvested on an area of 249.1 thousand hectares, 11 million 879.5 thousand tons of sweet roots were dug up with a yield of 47.7 tons/ha.
