The Grain Storage Forum ELEVATOR 2023 was held in Kyiv
On June 2, the 5th International Grain Storage Forum ELEVATOR 2023 was held in Kyiv, organized by the ProAgro Group company, the Association of Elevators of Ukraine and the Flour Mills of Ukraine Union.
The event became a large-scale event of the year on the domestic agricultural market for specialists in grain production and related industries.
As the organizers of the forum note, the Russian military invasion exacerbated the existing problems of the industry and set new challenges for the domestic agrarian, in particular, grain market. So, the event became a platform for discussions on this topic.
As Oleg Klymenko, president of the Association of Elevators of Ukraine, noted at the opening of the forum, Ukrainian grain producers, despite all the difficulties of the war, not only hold the agrarian front of the country with dignity, but also continue to make a significant contribution to ensuring the world’s food security. At the same time, a large amount of land left under cultivation, difficulties in providing resources for agricultural production, and export problems force all links of the grain chain to shift their emphasis and look for new opportunities to increase efficiency in their areas of activity.
Specific problems and challenges for the grain business were discussed in the first discussion session. In particular, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olha Trofimtseva talked about the work of state authorities to increase opportunities for the export of Ukrainian grain. Valery Tkachov, deputy director of the commercial work department of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” reported on the innovations of the state carrier for owners of grain cargoes.
As a result, the profile of the V International Grain Storage Forum ELEVATOR 2022 looked like this: 2 thematic panels, 4 discussion sessions, 2 practical seminars, more than a dozen presentations and production cases, about 30 speakers, more than 40 exhibition participants, numerous questions and answers from more than 700 visitors and guests
The organizers of the event hope that a similar forum will be held next year as well.
