As of June 5, 5.47 million hectares of cereals and legumes were sown in Ukraine, which is 100% of the forecast, reports SuperAgronom.com. Sugar beet was sown — 213,000 ha (97%).

Currently, the largest areas under sunflower are in the following areas:
Kirovohradsk — 633 thousand ha
Dnipropetrovsk — 532.6 thousand ha
Mykolaivska — 460,000 ha
Poltava – 435 thousand hectares
Odesa — 430,000 ha

This year, 5.042 million hectares of sunflower were sown (this is not much more than last year — 4986.9 thousand hectares)
We will remind that 3.89 million hectares of corn were sown this year, which is significantly less than last year’s area of 4.30 million hectares.
