
Sowing 2023: farmers sowed the first million hectares of land with dry crops
✅Ukrainian farmers have already sown 1 million 5 thousand hectares of hot crops, which is 18% of the projected area (5.7 million hectares).
This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Among the 1 million 5 thousand hectares of sown grain and leguminous crops are:
🌾 spring wheat – 169.1 thousand hectares;
🌾 spring barley – 557.4 thousand ha
🍃 peas – 110.2 thousand ha;
🌿oats – 81.7 thousand hectares;
🌽corn – 53.4 thousand hectares;
🌱 millet – 1.7 thousand ha;
🌱buckwheat – 0.27 thousand ha.
✅Over the past week, a total of 278,400 hectares of grain and leguminous crops were sown, with Poltava Oblast agricultural producers leading the way – 83,500 hectares.
Wheat is most sown in Dnipropetrovsk region (29.6 thousand ha), corn in Sumy region (26.4 thousand ha).
Farmers of 10 oblasts started sowing sugar beets: Volyn, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy and sowed 54,400 hectares.
Sunflower 🌻 is being sown by farmers in 14 oblasts, a total of 137.3 thousand hectares have already been sown. The largest is in Sumy Oblast — 34.7 thousand hectares.
