As of the beginning of May, 2.32 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops were sown by all categories of farms. Of them, 1 million hectares of corn are already planted, or 32% of the forecast. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
In particular, on May 4, sown:
🌾 spring wheat – 235.9 thousand ha;
🌾 spring barley – 712.1 thousand ha;
🍃 peas – 128.6 thousand hectares;
🌿oats – 132.2 thousand hectares;
🌽corn — 1059 thousand ha;
🌿buckwheat — 3.1 thousand ha;
🌿 millet – 8.4 thousand ha;
☘️ other cereals and legumes – 40.9 thousand ha.
In the past week, a total of 952.4 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops were sown, the agricultural producers of Kirovohrad Oblast are among the leaders – 129 thousand hectares.
Farmers of 14 oblasts are sowing sugar beets, 179.2 thousand hectares have been sown.
Sunflower 🌻 is sown by agrarians of all regions, 1.48 million hectares were sown, the largest in Poltava Oblast — 235.9 thousand hectares.
Also, 19 oblasts are sowing soybeans, 173.6 thousand hectares have been sown.
